Wen Ning was extremely nervous as he approached Cloud Recesses. He had arranged to meet with the Sect Leader to discuss an important proposal that he had recently recieved from the Emperor himself. The proposal had caught him off guard and something he didn't think was imaginable. It was rare that the Emperor even showed interest in the cultivation world. It was something he couldnt take lightely as it would helpp bridge the two worlds together. Yet, if he was honest with himself Wen Ning simply wanted to hide. He never imagined that becoming a Sect Leader would bring in oppurtuntiies he didn't realize were possible. He needed sound advice and one that wasn't judging or demanding.
This visit would also allow time for him to see his friends and get a small break. Once he arrived, Wen Ning still had time before he was able to talk with the Sect Leader. He chose to seek out WuXian for the time being.

"Yu Suren, apologize to WuXian, the Royal Family and the sects. You were shown mercy by him and you chose to shove him in response. If you wanted the old ways you would have become a mediacore person instead or worse one of his puppets. Is that a life you really want?
You chose to humilate myself and Wen Zhuiliu as well. You were tardy and have shown nothing but contempt through the competition. The sects have done their share and accepted you and tried to give you a chance. You spat on them as well by your behavior on the field.
Therefore, Yu Suren, you and your sect are expelled from this competition and nor will be allowed in any other competition or event." Wen Ning stated in a firm tone loud enough for everyone to hear. This basically meant they could no longer participate in a lot of the cultivation world and gain support as they had originally aimed for.
Yu Suren tried to fight against WangJi's hold but couldn't move and glared at everyone around him. Only with a bedgrudging reluctance did he apologize. It wasn't as graceful as Wen Zhuiliu's apology, but it was enough. Wen Ning then had his disciples escort Yu Suren and his sect off the premises and out of Qishan Wen.

On the whole, it seemed that Wen Ning's decision to kick out the rogue sect was well-received. WuXian and WangJi definitely approved and WangJi would even help with escorting the rogue sect out. Push his Wei Ying and think he wasn't going to do anything...
Meili was also very proud of him and when he returned, she would break propriety and give him a kiss on the cheek.

They had a few more matches, before Wen Ning called for everyone to retire for the day. The other matches could wait the following day and then eventally the big night hunt.

Meili watched the matches patiently. Even if she personally couldn't fight or do archery, this was the world she was married into and it was important for her to support her husband and his sect. She may not have known all the rules, but she could certainly celebrate a good shot or a good match like anyone else.
And when Wen Ning called the day's matches over, she reached to take his arm so they could head back to the castle together.

The week had quickly went by with hardly any issues. Everyone did well and with the rogue sect gone there was hardly any tension. Everyone showed great sportmanship. Wen Ning ended the competition with a banquet thanking everyone for attending and participating in the event.
One by one the sects eventually returned home leaving Wen Ning and Meili left with the Royal Family giving her some time spend with them before they had to leave as well.
Wen Zhuiliu almost made it with out having Madam Yu find him, but it wasn't until it was almost time for Lotus Pier to leave that she managed to grab him much to his reluctance. Over an awkward conversation, some past differences had been squared around and some more explainations about his past been revealed to people he didn't want to know. He only hoped his past would longer be brought up after this.
Then there was finally some silence and their routines were back to a regular schedule. Really, Wen Ning was glad to have a quite castle again.
